J.co is an architecture studio based in Somerset West, that specializes in designs that are inspired by its surroundings, using humble materials and employing a modernist aesthetic. Our optimistic team is experienced in Luxury Residential, High-end Multi-storey mix use and Industrial architecture, welcoming all projects with the same integrity, regardless of their scale or scope.

Jaco Willemse

DIRECTOR

PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT

Jaco holds an M.Arch degree from the University of the Free State. He gained experience over 10 years from multiple firms such as Emerging Architects Paarl, ARC Architects Cape Town, ARC Architects Pretoria, and A+ Architects Durbanville. After doing remote work in an effective manner for A+ Architects and ARC Architects on a contract basis per project, he saw the opportunity to start J.CO Architects, offering valuable and sufficient services. His love for architecture is founded around a love for people, and creating spaces that inspire.

Herlu Greef

CANDIDATE

ARCHITECT

Herlu is a Candidate Architect and holds an M.Arch (Prof) degree from The University of the Free State (UFS). Before joining J.CO Architects, he worked for VKDB Architects and AKOMA. Herlu is also one of the Co-Founders of AKOMA where he acted as Project Manager and Candidate Architect, working on community-based developments.

Ignatius Coetzee

Ignatius is a Candidate Architect and holds an M.Arch (Prof) degree from The University of the Free State (UFS). Before joining J.CO Architects, he worked for Jordaan Architects and SAOTA where he gained experience on Luxury Residential projects.
